About the Opportunity: 

The position is for Home Health Billing Specialist and/or Hospice Billing Specialist. You will interact directly with Synergy Support, Billing, and Customer Success Teams. You will communicate with customers or potential customers to provide education and information related to Home Health and Hospice billing.



Duties and Responsibilities:
A Home Health and/or Hospice Biller Technician is primarily responsible for submitting clean claims to insurance companies as well as focusing sharply on the customer’s revenue cycle management.


  • Proficiency in home health and/or hospice billing software 
  • Knowledge of PDGM rules and payment methodology
  • Accurately review and produce clean claims
  • Ability to identify claim rejections or research ways to resolve the rejection
  • Consistent and timely follow up on unpaid claims
  • Communicate and update with customers through email, text and voice
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments
  • On time management and reconciliation of accounts receivable
  • Ability to utilize CMS or third-party eligibility and benefits verification tools



  • Two years’ experience with Medicare and other insurance billing and collections
  • Synergy EMR experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prioritizing, Time Management, and Organization skills
